a blessing and a song

(After not blogging for an entire week…. *shakes head* Tsk tsk – what are you all going to do with me?)

I hope all of you have an amazing Easter – however you may celebrate it (if you celebrate it). I spent mine with the 5 coolest people in the entire world. I taught both archery and origami. We laughed about awesome things like jellybeans and talking creatures.
My family is cool like that. What did I tell you?

I spent Good Friday/Holy Saturday with my best friend. Hey, you know she’s a cool person when she’s willing to explain Algebra 2 concepts to this blogger who does not get math… in the least.

I spent this week doing AP European History. I think if I said any more, you all might run away screaming “No! Not the AP Euro rant again!”
Mkay. I won’t say any more.
Just know that I’m really close to semi-finishing the course in time for the test… Yay?

See, the rant wasn’t that bad… πŸ™‚

Now for the second part of this short post – a song.

If I could post the file legally for you all to download, I swear, I would. I think it would do the world some good if everyone could just listen to this song twenty million times.

Excited yet?

If you’ve read this blog for a longer period of time, you know that I adore Natasha Bedingfield’s music. I have all of her albums… I know the words to 80% of the songs on these albums.
(I think it’d be awesome to see her in concert… Just sayin’.)

On her latest project (Strip Me, released last December), she teams up with someone by the name of Kevin Rudolf to sing a song called “All I Need”.

All I need is/
What I got/
My soul is free and/
I got more than enough/
I believe in love/
And I’ll never stop/
That’s why all I need/
Is what I got/
Let it roll, roll/
Roll right off my back….

(That’s just the first chorus. :D)
See it on YouTube

I’m head-over-heels with this song…. It’s just plain fabulous. πŸ™‚

You know what? Because all I need is what I got. Somehow, life becomes so much simpler when you realize this. This is why I love this song so much. It reminds me that on a daily basis. (It’s the #1 played song on my iPod at the moment).

Go. Listen. You know you want to. πŸ™‚

So, tell me what is YOUR favorite song? How was your Easter?

  1. I have too many favorite songs.

    They currently include:

    1. Don't Dream It's Over by Crowded House
    2. Carrickfergus by Celtic Woman
    3. Fools Rush In by Jo Stafford
    4. Cherry Bomb by The Runaways
    5. Foolish Games by Jewel

  2. I really can't narrow down the music I adore to just one—my tastes are varied and change depending on my mood. LOL

And you're right, your family is way cool!
